Jewelry Care

Our pieces are made in solid S925 sterling silver, many with a 14K gold plated finish. With a little care, they will stay bright for years.

Everyday wear

Put your jewelry on last, after perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and hair products. Take it off before swimming, showering, exercising, or cleaning. Water, sweat, and chemicals are what dull silver and wear down gold plating over time.

Storage

Keep each piece dry and stored separately, ideally in its pouch or box, away from humidity and direct sunlight. Storing pieces apart prevents scratches and slows tarnish.

Cleaning

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. For sterling silver, a silver polishing cloth will restore the shine. For gold plated pieces, use only a soft cloth and avoid polishing compounds or abrasive cleaners, which can remove the plating.

Pearls, shell, and natural stones

These are softer and more porous than metal. Avoid water and chemicals entirely, and wipe with a soft cloth only.

About tarnish

Sterling silver naturally darkens with exposure to air. This is normal, not a defect, and it polishes away easily. Wearing your silver often actually helps keep it bright.
